PUBLIC UTILITIES AND PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MEETING
HELD TUESDAY, APRIL 9, 2002
The joint meeting was called to order at 6:34 pm with Public Utilities Chairman Sanders
noting that Committee members Slocomb and Pettalski were present and Public Works
Chairman Salentine noting that Committee members Patterson and Le Doux were
present. Chairmen Sanders and Salentine stated the meeting was noticed in
accordance with the open meeting law. Engineer/Building Inspection Director McMullen
was also present as well as representatives from the Muskego-Norway School District.
Those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
NEW BUSINESS
Review Construction Plans for Muskego High School Renovation
Watermain Extension
Mr McMullen reviewed the plans with Committee members. He stated that the
watermain extension would be dedicated to and owned by the water utility. It will be
• necessary for the utility to install and pay for two fire hydrants on Racine Avenue at a
cost of approximately $3,000 each. Aid. Petfalski moved to approve plans for
Watermain Extension. Ald. Slocomb seconded; motion carried.
Grading and Erosion Control Plans
Mr McMullen reviewed the plans with Committee members and stated he met with the
DNR regarding stormwater issues. Ald. Patterson moved to approve the Grading and
Erosion Control Plans subject to Chapter 30 and U.S. Army Corps approvals. Ald. Le
Doux seconded; motion carried.
Ald. Le Doux moved to adjourn at 6:50 pm. Seconded by Aid. Patterson; motion
carried. Aid. Sanders moved to adjourn at 6:50 pm. Seconded by Ald. Slocomb;
motion carried.
