MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MONDAY, JUNE 3, 1996
• The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Chairman
Sanders. Also present were Committee members Salentine and
Rasmussen, Utilities Superintendent Kloskowski, Rich Eberhardt
(Ruekert & Mielke), and those per the attached list.
The Committee noted that the meeting was posted in accordance
with the Open Meeting Law.
Rich Eberhardt, Ruekert & Mielke, explained the scope of the
project. It was explained that the assessment on the North Cape
portion of the project will be delayed until connections can be
made.
The Committee discussed the proposed sewer project on Loomis
Drive. Residents expressed an interest in obtaining the results
of a survey which was conducted to ascertain exactly how many
residents wanted sewers.
Residents involved in the Loomis Drive forcemain project
expressed their desire to have driveways and ditches restored in
a timely fashion upon completion of the project. The Committee
advised residents that ditch drainage problems ie., the lowering
of culverts, are the State's responsibility. Residents also
expressed their desire to have the City approach the State to
request that regrading be undertaken before the road is turned
• over to the City. The Committee advised that the City will
withhold payments to contractors until all restoration is
complete.

Residents were advised that they have 9 months to hookup after
MMSD approves the asbuilts.
It was clarified that wetlands are not charged a front foot
assessment.
It was asked if a TIF District could help finance the project.
The Committee advised it was unlikely.
Residents were advised that the hardship policy will be mailed
with the assessment roll.
The Committee discussed the sewer assessment for the Village of
Muskego Lakes. Ald. Salentine moved to follow the City
Attorney's recommendation to not negotiate the assessment.
Seconded by Ald. Sanders, motion carried 3-0.
Ald. Salentine moved to adjourn at 8:00 p.m. Seconded by Ald.
Rasmussen, motion carried 3-0.
