PUM19901009PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 9, 1990 The meeting was called to order by Water Chairman Hilt at 6:30 P.M. Also present were Committee Member D. Sanders, Mayor Salentine, City Clerk Marenda and Jean Zangerle. The Committee reviewed the Assessment Roll and Engineer's Report for the Hwy. L Sewer Project as provided by the City Engineers. Ald. D. Sanders moved to recommend approval of the Hwy. L Assessment Roll with a front foot assessment rate of $33.11 and a lateral cost of $1,584.00. Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried. The Committee reviewed methods of paying Special Assessments. Payments are now due "in full" on or before November 1st, or the assessment is placed on the tax bill in ten (10) annual installments. The Clerk advised requests had been received to have the City accept partial payments. The Committee determined that the past practice of not allowing partial payments should continue. The Clerk noted that the Installment Assessment Notice given to property owners involved states that if they submit their intent to pay in full prior to November 1st, and then do not pay, the extra assessment will be placed on the tax bill. . The Committee directed the Clerk to continue past practice of placing such assessments on the tax bill in ten (10) annual installments. The meeting adjourned at 7:15 P.M. Respectfully submitted, Ald.
