PUM19881117• PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 17, 1988 The meeting was called to order at 7:08 P.M. by Chairman Sanders. Also present were Committee Member Repischak, Mayor Salentine and those per the attached list. Mayor Salentine updated the Committee on FLOW and advised that a meeting will be held with Germantown and Thiensville on Tuesday, November 29, 1988 at 3:00 P.M. at the Bluemound Country Club. Ald. Sanders and Financial Consultant Seegar Swanson have been invited to attend. The Committee reviewed status of sewer projects restoration. It was noted that no further seeding would be done this year. Mayor Salentine advised the Committee that a letter has been sent to all waste haulers advising them that no loads will be accepted from Anamax. The Committee is awaiting further information from City Engineer Tom Renner regarding update on odor control for the Northeast & Sandy Beach Lift Stations. • The City Engineers have prepared a certified survey for the city - owned land/McShane and the Plan Commission have approved the certify survey map. The Common Council will react to the Certify Survey Map at their meeting on November 22, 1988. The City Engineers are supplying the City Attorney with the necessary legal description and map to proceed with the relocation order for the DeBack easement for the Highway 24 Sewer Project. Dona Gnas appeared before the Committee stating that on August 11, 1988, the Public Utilities Committee determined that as soon as Mr. Walter Chrisman's home was connected to sewers, the outhouse on the property will be razed. To date that outhouse has not been razed and the home has not been connected to sewers. Ald. Repischak will contact Mr. Chrisman to check on the status of the project. Proposed sewer extension on Highway 45 & "00" was reviewed. The Committee discussed the property addressed S77 W15483 Woods Road which has recently been rezoned for a duplex. According to Exhibit A (Resolution #169-84) a duplex is assessed an RCA charge based on two RECS. • Public Utilities Committee - Page 2 November 17, 1988 Blenda Treba appeared before the Committee to check on the availability of sewer service for property in the NW 1/4 of Section 3. The Committee advised that the property is out of the Sewer Service Area and; therefore, she must contact SEWRPC to inquire about amending the Sewer Service Area to include that property. The Committee reviewed Plan Commission referral for the development of the Narlock property. Ald. Repischak move to deny request to develop with mound systems as the property is in a sewer service area. Seconded by Ald. Sanders, motion carried. The December Public Utilities Committee agenda will include discussion on establishing a policy for properties that are in a sewer service area. The Committee deferred discussion on the proposed Water Project for Ann/Valley/Kelly and requests that Developer for adjacent area be contacted for the December meeting. All seeding for the restoration of the water projects will not be completed until Spring. • The Committee reviewed the status of Kristin Downs Water Utility and it was noted that the City Attorney is awaiting the auditor's report before putting an agreement together.
