PC MIN 01-16-2001 PH KOSTECKI DAY CARE FACILITY CITY OF MUSKEGO PLAN COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES Tuesday January 16, 2001 7:00 PM Muskego Public Library, Conference Room 5, S73 W16663 Janesville Road Upon the petition of Michael Kostecki for a Conditional Use in accordance with Section 6.03 of the City of Muskego Zoning Ordinance for the operation of a day care facility for the property commonly known as S75 W17510 Janesville Road (Tax Key No. 2193.125) Present: Mayor De Angelis, Alderman Chiaverotti, Commissioners Hulbert, Brodel, Smith, Plan Director Turk, and Recording Secretary Asti. Absent: Commissioners Gummer and Schaumberg Secretary Asti reported that the meeting was properly noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Law. Mayor De Angelis declared the Public Hearing open at 7:02 p.m. Plan Director Turk stated that petitioner is requesting to discontinue current operation of Meat and Seafood Specialists, and renovate building to house a Day Care Facility. Interior alterations must be in conformance with all State and Federal Code and licensing requirements. The petitioner is proposing to accommodate a maximum of sixteen children from ages six weeks to twenty-four months with up to four adult employees. No outdoor lighting or landscaping changes are planned. Existing signage may be refaced. Petitioner has received conditional use grant and building; site and operation plan approval for Kingdom Day Care Center operation across the street, which houses older children. The parking appears to be adequate but should be monitored and addressed during annual review. Mayor De Angelis asked the petitioner if he wished to speak on this matter. Mr. Kostecki had nothing to add. Mayor De Angelis asked for members in the audience to address the Commission with their input of concerns, questions, comments, etc. There were none. Mayor De Angelis stated this matter would be heard through a resolution under New Business later this evening.
