PC MIN 10-16-2001 PH COND USE FOR G & G POWER SPORTS CITY OF MUSKEGO PLAN COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES Tuesday October 16, 2001 Muskego City Hall, Muskego Room, W182 S8200 Racine Avenue PUBLIC HEARING In accordance with Chapter 17:6.03 to consider the approval of a Conditional Use Grant for G&G Power Sports, to operate motorized vehicle sales and service, located in the SE ¼ of Section 8 (Tax Key No. 2192.084 / Racine Avenue). PRESENT: Mayor De Angelis, Alderman Le Doux, Commissioners Gummer, Schaumberg, Hulbert, Plan Director Turk, Assistant Plan Director Wolff and Recording Secretary Asti. ABSENT: Commissioner Brodel Secretary Asti reported that the meeting was properly noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Law. Mayor De Angelis declared the Public Hearing open at 7:00 p.m. Assistant Plan Director Wolff stated that petitioner received conceptual approval to relocate existing operation from the Industrial Park to the Lakewood Development property. No sale or service will be conducted outside the confines of the building and all doors are to remain closed during servicing of machines. Due to limited outdoor display area, previous approval of not more than two machines to be displayed should apply. The Conditional Use should include restrictions on placement of banners, pennants, and temporary signs. No trailers or products should be parked on premises except in enclosed storage area. Mayor De Angelis asked the petitioner if he wished to speak on this matter. Mr. Gara had nothing to add. Mayor De Angelis asked for members in the audience to address the Commission with their comments or concerns. Mr. Render Spencer, W189 S7667 Circle Drive, stated he is not in favor of mixing commercial development with residential development. Mr. Spencer feels that this facility will increase traffic and that noise will be a problem. Mr. Tom Berg, owner of the Muskego Centre, is in favor of this proposal however, would like to see the plan of operation. Mr. Berg has a concern with fencing and outdoor storage. Mayor De Angelis stated this matter would be heard through a resolution under New Business later this evening.
