PC MIN 11-06-2001 PH COND USE FOR LA FRATTA CITY OF MUSKEGO PLAN COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES Tuesday November 6, 2001 Muskego City Hall, Muskego Room, W182 S8200 Racine Avenue In accordance with Chapter 17:6.03 to consider the approval of a Conditional Use Grant for the construction of a guest house on the LaFratta property located in the SE ¼ of Section 15 (Tax Key No. 2217.944.002 / S82 W15900 Bass Bay Lane). PRESENT: Mayor De Angelis, Alderman Le Doux, Commissioners Gummer, Stinebaugh, Brodel, Schaumberg, Hulbert, Plan Director Turk and Recording Secretary Asti. Secretary Asti reported that the meeting was properly noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Law. Mayor De Angelis declared the Public Hearing open at 7:00 p.m. Plan Director Turk stated that petitioner is proposing to construct a second residence / guest house on a ten acre parcel. The zoning code pertaining to second residences and guest houses was amended earlier this year. The zoning code permits separate quarters away from main building for persons related to the residents of the principle structure and said structures shall not be rented or leased. The property is accessed by a private drive which is utilized by four homes. The policy of the Public Works Committee permits only three homes on a private drive before a road must be constructed. The Committee has reviewed this request and has granted an exception to their policy. Mayor De Angelis asked the petitioner if he wished to speak on this matter. Mr. LaFratta had nothing to add. Mayor De Angelis read a letter from Mr. Gerald Dovic whose property abuts the LaFratta property to the east. Mr. Dovic has no objections to the proposed guest house. Mayor De Angelis asked for members in the audience to address the Commission with their comments or concerns. There were none. Mayor De Angelis stated this matter would be heard through a resolution under New Business later this evening. There being no further questions or comments, the Public Hearing was adjourned at 7:05 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Sandra S. Asti Recording Secretary
