PLAN COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
Tuesday April 4, 2000

PUBLIC HEARING for a renewal of a Conditional Use in accordance with Section 6.03 of the City of
Muskego Zoning Ordinance for Payne & Dolan for the purpose of continued mining and processing
of sand and gravel, and the extension of use of a portable asphalt plant at the NW corner of Crowbar
Road and Janesville Road, in the NE ¼ and SE ¼ of Section 13, T5N R19E.
Present were: Mayor De Angelis, Alderman Salentine, Commissioners Hulbert,
Schaumberg, Brodel, Smith, Gummer, Plan Director Turk, Assistant Plan Director Wolff
and Recording Secretary Asti.
Secretary Asti reported that the meeting was properly noticed in accordance with the Open
Meeting Law.
Mayor De Angelis declared the Public Hearing open at 7:58 p.m.
Assistant Plan Director Wolff stated that this is a required annual review and site inspection
revealed that the site has been well maintained. Additional landscaping screening has
been installed. The site is paved where product is picked up. Erosion control practices
are followed and no materials are tracked off site. The Planning Staff has not received any
complaints concerning this operation.
Mayor De Angelis asked the petitioner if he wished to speak on this matter. Mr. Doug
Buth, Payne & Dolan, addressed Commission stating the firm is not asking for anything out
of the ordinary. Additional trees have been installed along berm. The Muskego site is a
back-up site for the Highway 45 project. All neighbors have been notified of nightly
schedules.
Mayor De Angelis asked for members in the audience to address the Commission with their
input of concerns, questions, comments, etc. There were none.
Mayor De Angelis stated this matter would be heard through a resolution under New
Business later this evening. There being no further questions or comments, the Public
Hearing was adjourned at 8:04 p.m.
