Present: Acting Mayor Slocomb, Alderman Chiaverotti, Commissioners Gummer, Schaumberg, Brodel, Plan Director Turk, City Engineer McMullen, Assistant Plan Director Wolff and Recording Secretary Asti. Absent: Mayor De Angelis, Commissioners Hulbert and Smith. Secretary Asti reported that the meeting was properly noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Law. Acting Mayor Slocomb declared the Public Hearing open at 7:04 p.m. Plan Director Turk stated that two petitioners submitted proposals to co-locate wireless facilities atop the existing City water tower. The tower is an existing wireless facility, thus co-location is exempt from current moratorium. Water tower appears to have the structural ability to accommodate two providers at top of tower. A structural analysis must be provided. Existing equipment shelter will be replaced with a single structure accommodating all potential users. The equipment shelter will be brick with a gable roof to match existing structures. No new landscaping is proposed. The Public Works and Utilities Superintendents prefer landscaping the tower site, and will propose using a portion of lease revenue to complete the landscaping. Acting Mayor Slocomb asked for members in the audience to address the Commission with their input of concerns, questions, comments, etc. Mr. Ted Torcivia, WFI/Telecorp, addressed Commission stating that the tower could accommodate five carriers and necessary information will be supplied. . Acting Mayor Slocomb stated this matter would be heard through a resolution under New Business later this evening. There being no further questions or comments, the Public Hearing was adjourned at 7:10 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Sandra S. Asti Recording Secretary
