Plan Commission Minutes 11-16-99PH-Hrin AAA Asphalt PLAN COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING HELD NOVEMBER 16, 1999, 6:40 p.m. Upon the petition of Bryon Hrin/AAA Asphalt Sealing for a Conditional Use in accordance with Section 6.03 of the City of Muskego Zoning Ordinance for the purpose of operating a vehicle storage and maintenance facility on property located in the SW ¼ of Section 25 (Tax Key No. 2259.994 / Loomis Road). Present were: Mayor De Angelis, Alderman Salentine, Commissioners Smith, Gummer, Brodel, Schaumberg, Plan Director Turk, and Recording Secretary Asti. Secretary reported that the Public Hearing was properly noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Law. Mayor De Angelis declared the Hearing open at 6:45 p.m. Plan Director Turk stated that petitioner proposes to use this property for indoor storage of vehicles and as a maintenance facility. The subject property is zoned Agriculture District which allows indoor storage as a conditional use. Outdoor storage is not permitted. Plan Commission may allow use if maintenance activity is incidental. Staff has several concerns that have not been addressed: improvements needed to site, hours of operation, seasonal use of facility. In the warmer months focus will be on the asphalt sealing business and in the colder months focusing on snow removal service. Mayor De Angelis asked the petitioner if he wished to speak on this matter. Mr. Bryon Hrin, AAA Asphalt Sealing, stated that the trucks used for snow removal will not be kept on site, employees will take the trucks to their homes.. Mr. Hrin would like to construct a fence for inside storage and plans to redo the roof on the building. Mr. Hrin is willing to work with the City to make other improvements that are necessary to the site. There are no plans for exterior lighting. Mayor De Angelis asked for members in the audience to address the Commission with their input of concerns, questions, comments, etc. Mr. Russ Jankowski, S102 W13815 Loomis Road, questioned Mr. Hrin on the number of vehicles that will be parked on site and inquired about future development in this area. Mr. Hrin replied that eight vehicles will be parked on site. Discussion followed that Mr. Hrin has been granted approval for an eight lot land division in this area. Mayor De Angelis stated this matter would be heard through a resolution under New Business later this evening.
