Dominski called the meeting to order at 7:06 PM. 2.       Roll Call: Also present were J. De Vito-Scalzo, S. Gould, K. Huebner, R. Jankowski, R. Melcher, S. Oneson, J. Schroeder, S. Snyder and Director H. Sanhuber. 3.       Pledge of Allegiance: recited. 4.       Statement of Public Notice: Given in accordance with the open meeting law on September 20, 2007. 5.       Approval of Minutes: R. Melcher moved to approve minutes of the August 22, 2007 meeting and S. Gould seconded. Motion carried. 6.       Next Meeting Scheduled October 24, 2007. 7.       Treasurer’s Report: S. Snyder moved R. Jankowski seconded motion to approve payment of September expenses of $92,017.16. Motion carried. S. Snyder moved R. Jankowski seconded motion to approve payment of WCFLS September expenses of $5,774.51. 8.        Communications a.       Communications: None. b.       Guest Comments: None. c.       Comment Forms: They were circulated. There was some discussion on moving the diorama. 9.       Old Business a.       FOL: There will be a Murder & Mayhem planning meeting on October 10 at 8 AM in Room 6. We have 53 people paid and 12 holds. b.       Trust Fund: $47,882.25. c.       Librarian’s Report: Read and placed on file. Adult and Children programming brochures were distributed. There was discussion on how to get them out into the community. A Muckey 4H brochure, Bookpage and a news article on the Ben Merens talk were circulated. d.       WCFLS: We received $225 toward teen or children read week programming and $400 for summer reading materials. A Sussex Sun article on Sunday hours was circulated. 10.    New Business a.        Pending Fine Disputes: None. b.       Automation/Technology: Paula is on the Database committee, which is prioritizing needs. WISCAT work is ongoing. E-mail notification has started. c.       Customer Survey: There will be a special board meeting to discuss the survey results on Thursday Oct 11 at 6:30 PM. d.       Budget Update: The half time job will not be filled. Funding for Sunday hours has been removed from the budget. Insurance costs are up 17% and energy costs are expected to be 7-8% higher. Common Council budget meetings will be held on Oct 18 and 25. e.       Kiwanis Amphitheater Proposal: Members of the Kiwanis were here to discuss their proposal. They voted to provide $5,000 for the project with the stipulation that they would get naming rights to the project. The Friends of the Library have donated $5,000 with no stipulations. There was discussion on other ways to recognize their contribution. The board did not want to approve naming rights to the Amphitheater. Photos of the plaque at the Muskego Skateboard Park will be supplied to all attendees. f.        Holiday Meeting Dates: The November date is OK. Members should check their calendars for availability for the Dec 26 meeting and report at the Oct 24 meeting. 11.    Motion to Adjourn: Moved by S. Snyder, seconded by J.
