1. Call to Order: President D. Dominski called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM.
2. Roll Call: Also present were J. De Vito-Scalzo, S. Gould, K. Huebner, R. Jankowski, R. Melcher, S. Oneson, S. Snyder, and Director H. Sanhuber. R. Rammer was absent.
3. Pledge of Allegiance: recited.
4. Statement of Public Notice: Given in accordance with the open meeting law on January 17, 2007.
5. Approval of Minutes: R. Melcher moved to approve minutes of the November 15, 2006 meeting and J. De Vito-Scalzo seconded.
6. Next Meeting Scheduled February 28, 2007.
7. Treasurer’s Report: S. Snyder moved R. Jankowski seconded motion to approve payment of December expenses of $81,289.93. Motion carried. S. Snyder moved R. Jankowski seconded
motion to approve payment of WCFLS December expenses of $9,585.03. Motion carried. S. Snyder moved R. Jankowski seconded motion to approve payment of January expenses of $100,324.54.
Motion carried. S. Snyder moved R. Jankowski seconded motion to approve payment of WCFLS January expenses of $2,397.46. Motion carried.
8. Communications
a. Communications: None.
b. Director Evaluation: At the Mayor's request D. Dominski and R. Jankowski performed the library director's evaluation for 2006. The City administration would like the board
to evaluate the director in the future. The item will be placed on the agenda and a copy of the evaluation form will be included in the next packet.
c. Guest Comments: None.
d. Comment Forms: The information was circulated.
9. Old Business
a. FOL: The Wine Tasting will be held on May 12th. The next planning meeting is scheduled for Feb 14 at 8 AM in the library. The Packer raffle tickets will be on sale prior
to the event.
b. Trust Fund: $46,230.23 at last report.
c. Librarian’s Report: Read and placed on file. Murder & Mayhem comments, Book Page, trust fund gifts and Civil War book group info was circulated. Holly's column is appearing
in the MuskegoNOW. The library blog is on the MuskegoNOW web page. Mystery duet authors Marcus Sakey and Sean Chercover will be at the library on Feb 10. The State and WCFLS newsletters
were distributed.
d. WCFLS: The Trustee dinner will be held on November 7, 2007. The special needs grant will focus on emerging technology.
10. New Business
a. Pending Fine Disputes: None.
b. Automation/Technology: Still having catalog slowdowns. The latest SIRSI upgrade is not ready.
c. Sunday Hours: Draft of the survey was discussed and Holly will provide issue 2 of the draft for discussion at the February meeting.
d. New Hire: R. Melcher moved for approval of Tammy Keller as the new Library Page. J. De Vito-Scalzo seconded. Motion carried.
e. 2007 WCFLS contract: R. Jankowski moved and S. Gould seconded motion to approve the WCFLS contract for 2007. It will provide funding of $56,187. President D. Dominski and
Secretary R. Jankowski signed the contract.
11. Motion to Adjourn: Moved by S. Snyder, seconded by R. Melcher at 7:48 PM.
