CALL TO ORDER
Meeting was called to order by Chairman Len Pilak at 6:32 pm
ROLL CALL
Present: Len Pilak, Greg Burmeister, Karl Hoeppner,
Excused: Tom Kies, Larry Schweitzer, and Tom Zagar

All said pledge.
STATEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE
Meeting was legally noticed.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MEETINGS HELD- September 26, 2012
Karl Hoeppner moved to approve, Greg Burmeister seconded and motion carried.
VOUCHER APPROVAL
None.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. Status of current lake conditions, rehabilitation management and ongoing
projects.
Discussed fallen tree situation in Holz channel (now removed).
Reported on weed status and several medium sized moving bogs.
Karl reported status of Osprey project. The camera is not working at this time.
One fledging has been banded. Karl requested we plan for winter repairs of one
or more of the osprey platforms. Len will contact WE to see if they can assist
with these repairs. Eagles are using their nest and have been seen around lake.
Greg reported seeing an increase in carp bow-hunters on the lake this year.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Discuss annual meeting agenda
Discussed upcoming annual lake meeting on August 26, 2013. Last year’s
agenda will be followed.
2. Recommend budget for 2014
Proposed 2014 budget was approved. Discussed need to explain the $100,000
future projects (land purchase) item. Greg Burmeister moved to recommend
assisting the DNR in purchase of 100 acre property on the southwest shore
of Big Muskego Lake. Carl Hoeppner seconded. Discussed the value of this
property to complete the recreation corridor and provide access for rebuilding the
deteriorating dyke. Also discussed need to start budgeting for dike repairs if
purchase is successful. (Note: A vote was not taken on carrying this motion.
This topic was not a specific agenda item for this meeting and will be considered
at a future meeting.)
COMMUNICATIONS AND ANY OTHER BUSINESS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW
Greg Burmeister briefly gave info pertaining to current Lake Koshkonong water level
court case.
