CALL TO ORDER
Len Pilak called meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
ROLL CALL
Deputy Commissioners Len Pilak, Tom Kies, Greg Burmeister, Larry Schweitzer, and
Dennis Paulson were present. Tom Zagar of the City of Muskego was also present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
All recited pledge of allegiance.
STATEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MEETINGS HELD- Thursday February 4, 2010
Tom Kies moved to approve minutes for both Deputy meeting and for the joint meeting
with Little Muskego Lake District. Dennis Paulson seconded, and motion carried by all.
VOUCHER APPROVAL
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. Status of Rehabilitation Management and ongoing projects
There was discussion of the considerable number of bog nuisances due to several
extreme storm events over the summer. The bog barriers were effective in stopping
smaller bogs both launches have been periodically blocked and required a lot of work to
remove.
2. Restoration project for conservancy lands in Bass Bay tributary watershed
Tom Zagar stated that the lands were being prepared for seeding in fall.
3. Placement of anchorage for cattail bog barriers
This was discussed above.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Discuss agenda items for annual meeting.
It was noted that the DNR has been considering that some water level manipulation may
be necessary in the upcoming future to retain and promote emergent vegetation to
reduce wind fetch. Deputy Commissioners agreed that this should be placed on the
agenda for discussion. No other agenda items beyond routine business were added.
2. Discuss 2011 District budget and make recommendation for annual meeting.
A draft of the budget was distributed to the Deputy Commisioners. There was
agreement that there was no need for modifications. Tom Kies motioned to approve the
budget and recommend it is presented for approval at the annual meeting. Greg
Burmeister seconded and motion carried.
