BOARD of DEPUTY COMMISSIONERS - BIG MUSKEGO LAKE/BASS BAY
PROTECTION & REHABITATION DISTRICT

The meeting was called to order by Deputy Lake Commissioner Leonard Pilak. In attendance were Deputy
Commissioners Pilak, Lawdanski, Tarr and Grunfelder. It was noted that the meeting had been properly posted as
required by the Open Meeting Law.
NEW BUSINESS
Status of rehabilitation management of Big Muskego Lake/Bass Bay - On Tuesday evening the DNR planned to
shock fish on Big Muskego/Bass Bay as part of the lake districts evaluation of fish stock. After the evaluation is
completed, fish will be restocked into the lakes accordingly. DNR representative from Madison has reserved 300-
400 Purple Loosestrife plants for the lake district. Anyone wishing to participate in the distribution of the plants
in their local area is welcome.
Status of ongoing projects - A questionare will be distributed early summer to gain information and feedback from
lake district residents on water/boat safety and wildlife issues for Big Muskego/Bass Bay lakes. Mr. Faust from the
University of WI Waukesha will not be participating in the the development of the questionare. In addition,
boating rules and information will be posted at the new boat launch.
ADJOURNMENT - Motion to adjourn by Andy Grunfelder at 7:30pm. The next meeting will be held on
Tuesday, July 11, 2000.
