APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MEETING
January 26, 2021
Commissioner Wolfe moved to approve the January 26, 2021 Minutes. Commissioner Madden
seconded; motion carried.
DEPUTY COMMISSIONERS' REPORT REGARDING STATUS OF LAKE
Current Condition of Lake/Bay, Water Levels, Plant Growth, Fish and Wildlife
Leonard Pilak noticed quite a bit of activity on the lake with boats now that the ice is out. No
reports on what's being caught.
Tom Zagar mentioned the concern of oxygen levels on the lake due to the deep snow cover on
the lake, which blocks the sunlight and process that creates oxygen. There haven't been any
reports of significant fish kill in the lake. There is an incredible amount of water fowl on the lake.
The DNR did not burn the western cattail fringe to reduce the dead cattail material for muskrats
and duck habitat. Typically, it is a winter activity, so perhaps they will reschedule for next winter.
Commissioner Kubacki asked if there will be a chemical treatment this year. Tom Zagar said
they are conducting the chemical treatment and have the DNR permit already. Additionally, the
contract approval is on the agenda tonight.
NEW BUSINESS
Authorization for Chair to sign Water Management Agreement with Innovative Water Care,
LLC. (dba Marine Biochemists).
Commissioner Kubacki made a motion to approve the contract. Commissioner Terrence
seconded; motion carried.
Tom Zagar mentioned that it is the same contractor that has done the work the last several
years.
COMMUNICATIONS AND ANY OTHER BUSINESS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW
Tom Zagar noted that the eagles stole the osprey platform and have since nested in the tree
after cameras were set up. Eagles may land there for a rest, but the platforms may be taken
back by the ospreys as it is a prime location for their nests.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Terrence made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Madden seconded; motion
carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:59 PM.
