NEW BUSINESS Review Restoration Projects Mr. Bing stated that the study by EnviroScience has been completed. Mr. Zagar has placed the information at the Library for review and sent notices to riparian owners. The deputy commissioners will review at a future meeting in December and make a recommendation for 2001. Mr. Zagar stated one problem with the use of weevils to control the milfoil is winterization. One of the recommendations of the consultants is that riparian owners cease cutting their lawns in late summer or early fall on the shoreline to help sustain the population of weevils during the winter. Scott Toshner of the DNR would like to discuss milfoil eradication strategies with the deputy commissioners. Mr. Zagar believes this information would be valuable before a final decision is made. Mr. Pilak stated the dike/dam has been defined as a dam. With that, the DNR is now working to determine what needs to be done to repair it. The drawdown from Little Muskego Lake was quite successful and had very little effect on Big Muskego Lake. Mr. Pilak also gave an update on the osprey project. There are three more years to go.
