DISTRICT BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING HELD THURSDAY, JULY 17, 1997
The meeting was called to order at 7:27 PM by Mayor De Angelis. Also present
were Commissioners Pionek, Salentine, Sanders and Slocomb, Clerk -Treasurer
Marenda and Deputy Commissioner Pilak.
Clerk -Treasurer reported the meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open
Meeting Law.
NEW BUSINESS
Review of proposed By -Laws. Atty. Schober's draft, Commissioner Slocomb's
draft and Clerk-Treas. Marenda's comments were reviewed. Each item was
reviewed in detail. Commissioner Slocomb moved to approve By -Laws with
corrections discussed for submittal to the Annual Meeting. Commissioner
Salentine seconded. Motion carried.
Lake Planning Grants. Commissioner Salentine moved to authorize expenditure
of $10,000 to the U.S.Army Engineers District for Phase II of Section 22 Study for
investigating Ecological Studies on the Big Muskego Lake Complex. Previous
grant of $30,000 received from DNR and this $10,000 to be reimbursed by the
DNR. Commissioner Sanders seconded, motion carried.
VOUCHER APPROVAL
Commissioner Slocomb moved for approval of up to $750.00 for the upgrade of
the boat motor used on Big Muskego Lake/Bass Bay. Commissioner Salentine
seconded, motion carried.
Commissioner Salentine moved for approval of $1,453.50 payment to Atty.
Schober for work to date in review and drafting of By -Laws. Commissioner
Slocomb seconded, motion carried.
Commissioner Sanders moved to adjourn at 8:45 P.M. Commissioner Slocomb
seconded, motion carried.
