PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 1994
The meeting was called to order at 7:02 P.M. by Chairman Misko.
Also present were Committee Members Sanders and Woodard. The
Committee joined the Board of Appeals hearing in the Muskego Room.
The Committee continued with agenda items in the Aldermen's Room
at 10:02 P.M. Present was Building Inspection Director Chuck
Dykstra who reviewed with the Committee the Status of
Condemnations (as attached).
Ald. Sanders moved to waive the normal 30 day Aldermanic Process
and directed the Building Inspection Director Chuck Dykstra to
contact the City Attorney to implement State Statutes 66.05 on
Condemnations for the Smith property on Crowbar Road. Seconded by
Ald. Woodard, motion carried.
The Committee deferred discussion on creation of "No Boating Zone"
on Idle Isle Beach until the October meeting so that Chief Johnson
can be in attendance.
The Committee reviewed request for "Caution -Children at Play" sign
. on Clarendon Place. Ald. Woodard moved to approve and to request
Supt. Loughney to place a sign at both ends of Clarendon Place (at
the intersection of Tess Corners and at the intersection of
Bristlecone). Seconded by Ald. Misko, motion carried.
Chuck Dykstra reviewed with the Committee Chapter 19 (Minimum
Housing Code) of the Municipal Code of the City of Muskego. Ald.
Woodard moved to direct the City Attorney to review Chapter 19 and
cross reference it with State Statute 66.05 and/or other statutes
applicable, and to propose a procedure for Building Inspection to
follow for future implementation. Seconded by Ald. Misko, motion
carried.
The meeting adjourned at 10:30 P.M.
