MINUTES OF MEETING HELD THURSDAY, MARCH 14, 1996
• The meeting was called to order at 7:35 P.M. by Chairman Misko.
Also present were Committee Members Salentine and Rasmussen,
Building Inspection Director Chuck Dykstra and Donald Kresse of
Wimmer Brothers.
The committee noted that the meeting was posted on 3/8/96 in
accordance with the Open Meeting Law.
Chuck Dykstra reviewed with the committee the attached report on
the update of Condemnations and Citations.
Chuck also explained to the committee changes that he would like
to see implemented in regard to Occupancy Permits. He will
discuss in detail at the Committee Of The Whole meeting scheduled
for March 25, 1996.
Chuck discussed with the committee new addressing system for
multi -family buildings. He has reviewed with fire departments and
police department for their input and feels that his new
addressing system will allow buildings to each be addressed. Ald.
Rasmussen moved to recommend adoption of addressing policy subject
to any unusual circumstances being brought to the committee for
discussion. Seconded by Ald. Salentine, motion carried 3-0.
The committee reviewed memorandum from Plan Director Matt Sadowski
on the status of billboard in City of Franklin, dated March 13,
• 1996. Matt has discussed this matter with Fred Baumgart of
Franklin Building Inspection Department and Mr. Baumgart stated
that within the month he will be sending a letter out to the
property owner requesting a course of action. Mr. Baumgart
indicated that he does not anticipate action/removal of the sign
to occur for at least two months. The Committee requests that
this item be kept on the agenda until resolution.
The committee discussed status of sign removal request for Bushy's
Pub. Ald. Salentine moved to have Plan Director issue a citation
and to advise that no permits will be issued until sign has been
removed. Seconded by Ald. Misko, motion carried 3-0.
Mr. Kresse, Muskego Regency, appeared before the Committee to
discuss his concern with having 96 and 32 units having separate
addresses. These buildings have one common front entrance. Ald.
Salentine moved to have the independent buildings addressed
singly, but the 32 and 96 unit buildings would have one common
address with unit numbers. Chuck Dykstra will set aside the
addresses for these buildings for future use. Seconded by Ald.
Rasmussen, motion carried 3-0.
The committee discussed request from Ald. Suhr to extend no -wake
at Idle Isle Park. Ald. Salentine moved to approve the "No Wake"
to include the island, plus ten (10) feet. Seconded by Ald.
• Misko, motion carried 3-0. This item will be sent to the Parks &
Recreation Board to review the policy of "No Wake" with the Water
Bugs Ski Club.

• Chairman Misko presented Building Inspection Chuck Dykstra with a
resolution from the Building Inspectors Association of
Southeastern Wisconsin Region, recognizing Chuck for his
commitment to promoting professional and ethical standards and his
hard work and dedication to their organization.
Ald. Rasmussen moved to adjourn at 8:30 P.M. Seconded by Ald.
Salentine, motion carried 3-0.
