MINUTES OF MEETING HELD THURSDAY, APRIL 13, 1995
• The meeting was called to order at 6:30 P.M. by Chairman Misko.
Also present were Committee Member Sanders, Ald. D'Acquisto, Ald.
Patterson, Building Inspection Director Chuck Dykstra, Police
Chief Johnson and those per the attached list. Committee Member
Woodard was excused.
The Committee noted that the meeting was posted on 4/11/95 in
accordance with the Open Meeting Law.
Building Inspection Director Dykstra reviewed with the Committee
an update on status of Condemnations/Citations (attached). It was
noted that there was nothing new on Restful Lane addition.
There were no updates on department's existing forms and
ordinances.
Mrs. Gorski appeared before the committee to discuss her request
to install signs on the three (3) ft. pavement along CTH L
(Janesville Road), between Durham Drive and Bay Lane indicating
that the area is a recreation or bike trial. Ald. Sanders moved
to send request to Parks & Recreation Board for review. A
suggestion was made to to installing a painted bike symbol at each
side of an intersection on both Janesville Road and Racine Avenue.
Ald. Patterson and Mr. & Mrs. Werner appeared before the Committee
• to discuss their concerns about speeders in the area of Poe's
Place/Sherwood Circle intersection. Ald. Sanders moved to have
Police Department do a traffic study/survey for review at the May
meeting. Seconded by Ald. Misko, motion carried. A petition was
presented to the Committee and will be filed with the City Clerk.
A copy of the police study is requested to be sent to Mr. & Mrs.
Thomas Werner, W138 56552 Sherwood Drive, Muskego, WI 53150.
Ald. D'Acquisto appeared before the Committee to discuss request
for "Children At Play" sign on Lochcrest Blvd. Ald. Sanders moved
to approve placement of sign with exact placement to be determined
by Ald. D'Acquisto and Public Works Superintendent Loughney.
Seconded by Ald. Misko, motion carried.
Ms. Loire Ross appeared before the Committee to request a speed
limit reduction on Hillendale near Mill Valley School and stated
her concern for the safety of the children in the area. Ald.
Sanders moved to have Police Department do a traffic study/survey
for review at the May meeting. Seconded by Ald. Misko, motion
carried.
The meeting adjourned at 7:50 P.M.
