PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD THURSDAY, MARCH 11, 1993
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman
Simmons. Also present were Committee Members Sanders and
Misko, Ald. Patterson, Building Inspection Director Chuck
Dykstra, Plan Director Larry Kirch and Lt. John Daley.
The Committee reviewed the attached report from Chuck Dykstra
on the status of condemnations.
There was no discussion on modifications to existing forms and
ordinances.
Ald. Patterson appeared before the Committee to request a stop
sign on the corner of Windsor and Saroyan. Lt. Daley explained
the situation and felt that a stop sign would not solve the
problem. Further discussion was held on the option of placing
a four-way stop sign, but a recommendation was deferred to
April meeting to allow Police Department to research recent
accidents in the area.
Larry Kirch presented to the Committee a completed Procedural
• Manual for the Plan Office which list all steps necessary to
receive Plan Commission approvals.

Ald. Misko discussed with the Committee the traffic problem on
Earl & Ranch and the request for a stop or yield sign. The
Committee recommended the placement of a large "Slow - Children
at Play" sign to be installed on Ranch Drive, midway between
Martin & Earl, on the west side of the street for traffic
coming off of Martin Drive heading toward Earl.
Ald. Misko requested that the Committee send a letter to
Waukesha County requesting a traffic count to support a traffic
light at the intersection of Parkland Drive and CTH L. Ald.
Simmons moved to send the requested communication to Waukesha
County. Seconded by Ald. Sanders, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed and approved memorandum from Chief
Johnson on traffic signs for Plum Creek East Subdivision.
The meeting adjourned at 10:00 P.M.
