MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 22, 1993
The meeting was called to order at 7:02 P.M. by Acting Chairman
Sanders. Also present were Committee Member Misko, Mayor
Salentine, Inspection Director Chuck Dykstra, and those per the
attached list.
The Committee reviewed the Public Safety Committee minutes of
January 14, 1993, and placed on file.
Chuck Dykstra reviewed with the Committee the attached report
on condemnations and citations.
The Committee discussed with representatives from the Tess
Corners Fire Department proposed amendments to Chapter 32, Fire
Prevent Code. Ald. Sanders moved to amend Ordinance 785 to
include the following:
Section 32.01 (6) (a) 17 "Garage" be amended to read:
"Garage" means any structure for parking or repair of
vehicle(s).

(a) Occupancies other than Chapter 59 which are
constructed with an overhead door of 6 ft. or
more in width shall purchase one (1) sign for
each overhead garage door.
• The required sign(s) shall be posted within
10 ft. of the overhead door at a height of
5 ft.

The sign(s) shall be provided by the Building
Inspection Department at cost and shall be paid
for at the time of permit application.
