PSM19920709PUBLIC
SAFETY COMMITTEE
- CITY
OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES
OF MEETING HELD
JULY 9,
1992
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Acting Chairman
Sanders. Also present were Committee Member Misko, Mayor
Salentine, Chief Johnson, Building Inspection Director Chuck
Dykstra, Ald. Schneider and those per the attached list.
The Committee reviewed the Public Safety Committee minutes of
June 4, 1992, and placed on file.
Chuck Dykstra presented the attached report on condemnations
and citations. Ald. Misko requested a ninety (90) day
extension for Ms. Martin to remove her one smaller barn at
property addressed S65 W17844 Martin Drive. Ald. Misko moved
to approve request. Seconded by Ald. Sanders, motion carried.
No new forms or ordinances were discussed.
The Committee further discussed request for stop sign on
Windsor Road and Saroyan Road and recommends that no action be
taken with respect to the placement of stop sign or yield at
the intersection of Windsor and Saroyan Road.
Ald. Schneider appeared before the Committee to discuss
petition received to change weight limit on Shagbark Lane.
Ald. Misko moved to direct Supt. Loughney to install "No
Trucking" signs on each end of Shagbark Lane. Seconded by Ald.
Sanders, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed request for stop sign at Bridgeport &
Seafarer Pass (Lake Point Estates Subdivision) and recommended
that no action be taken with respect to the placement of a stop
sign or yield at that intersection.
The Committee reviewed letter from Waukesha County Department
of Transportation regarding a request that the City received
from the National School Bus Service for a turning arrow on
traffic signal at intersection of CTH L and Tess Corners
Drive. The Department of Transportation indicates that they
will schedule a turning movement count to enable them to
evaluate the left turn volume and intend to do this accounting
after school has reopened in the Fall to account for the
highest traffic volume. This item will be put on a Fall agenda.
The meeting adjourned at 7:45 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Ald. Brian R. Misko
Secretary
