REPORT BY CHUCK DYKSTRA, SR. TO
THE PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE
DECEMBER 12, 1991
CITATIONS
S83 W18550 Saturn Drive (A-1 Storage)
Plan Commission Resolution #212-91 required a bond to be in place
by December 6. Due to a delay in getting the correspondence out
to Mr. Meyerson, the Building Department extended the allowable
time to December 13. The letters of credit were received by the
Building Department on December 9, which was within the allowed
time and are on file with the city. Mr. Meyerson has not,
however, scheduled any inspections to verify corrections of the
violations, and he is still in violation with a new court date
scheduled for January 18, 1992.
W187 S7825_Janesville Road (Benson
On November 25, 1991, Mr. George Resch applied for a razing permit
for this address. I have not issued the permit as of this date
because our department is waiting for verification that the
utilities have been disconnected. A plumbing permit must also be
taken out for the disconnection of the water and sewer service to
the property.
CONDEMNATIONS
W21351 Parker Drive (Esther Hartman
A permit was taken out on November 11, 1991 by Mrs. Hartman's son
to remodel the two accessory buildings that they desire to leave
up. An inspection made today revealed that nothing has been done
to date. Since a month has gone by since the permit was taken
out, I have contacted Mr. Hartman in writing giving him until
January 11, 1992 to restore the two buildings.
S102 W18758 Kelsey Drive (Tewes)
On November 8, 1991, Mrs. Tewes came into the Building Inspection
Department and took out another razing permit as the original one
that was taken out previously had expired. I have contacted Mr.
Tewes in writing requesting that he contact our department to
inform us of the current status of the razing of this building.
W195 S6776 Hillendale Drive (Froelich)
There is no change as of this date regarding this property. If
still up at the time of the drafting of the subdivider's
agreement, the removal of this structure will be guaranteed
through the agreement.

Job Duties
Larry Kirch, the City's new Planning Director, has arrived.
Wednesday, December 11, 1991 was his first day on the job. It
appears that Larry and I agree on many of the areas that require
attention within the departments. I look forward to working with
Larry to increase the efficiency of the building and planning
departments to the highest possible level. I will make myself
available as much as possible to help Larry with any problems that
may arise and wish him the best of luck in his new position.
