PSM19891129PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 29, 1989 • The meeting was called to order at 7:10 P.M. by Chairman Taube. Also present were Committee Members Patterson and D. Sanders, Ald. Simmons, Police Chief Johnson and Bruce Brownell (Guernsey Meadows Homeowner's Representative). The minutes of the meeting of September 14, 1989 were reviewed and placed on file. The Committee reviewed report from G. P. Lee on status of condemnations dated November 29, 1989. • Helen Smith - W216 S10601 Crowbar Rd. The Committee determined that the above proposed condemnation file be put in an inactive file until there is a sale or change of occupants. Gene's Club Durham - 12532 W. Loomis Road Not much is left to be cleaned. W172 S7441 Center Drive Building has been removed. The utilities disconnected and the remaining lumber and block neatly piled and will be removed shortly. S74 W17310-14 Lake Drive We are in the process of condemning this structure inasmuch as the owners have failed to remove same. Mr. Bruce Brownell appeared before the Committee requesting that the speed lmit between Durham Drive and Bay Lane be reduced. Police Chief Johnson's accident and ticket history for that area did not support a speed reduction at this time. The Committee agreed with concerns, but did not feel that a change was required at this time. The Committee reviewed correspondence that was sent to Waukesha County requesting installation of a shadow lane at the south entrance to Muskego High School on the east side of Racine Avenue.
