MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 13, 1989
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Chairman Taube.
Also in attendance were Committee Members Patterson and Sanders,
Chief Johnson, Jerry Nagl, and Jennifer Roethe (Milwaukee
Sentinel Reporter).
The Committee reviewed proposed amendment to Chapter 13 - Vicious
or Dangerous Animals. Chief Johnson reviewed the proposed
ordinance and the Public Safety Committee agreed with Chief
Johnson that the minor questions which were raised by Attorney
Macy in his correspondence of March 21, 1989, did not warrant
changing the proposed ordinance as written. Ald. Patterson moved
to recommend Council adoption. Seconded by Ald. Sanders, motion
carried.
Correspondence from Chief Johnson dated March 29, 1989,
requesting that a "No Parking" zone be posted on College Avenue
at Martin Drive was reviewed. The area to be designated for "No
Parking" would be on College Avenue from the driveway of the
apartments addressed S63 W18641-51 College Avenue east to the
corner of Martin Drive. Ald. Sanders moved to recommend that the
• above area be posted. Seconded by Ald. Patterson, motion
carried.
The Committee discussed request to correct signage recently
erected which indicates Bosch Drive and is located on North Shore
Lane. Ald. Sanders moved that existing sign be replaced with a
sign that indicates North Shore Lane. Seconded by Ald.
Patterson, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed correspondence from Wisconsin Electric
Power Company answering the Committee's request that a street
light located at the entrance to the Woodcrest Heights
Subdivision on Racine Avenue, north of Woods Road, be relocated
to illuminate the entrance to the Subdivision. There will be a
cost of $218.00 to relocate the street light. Ald. Taube moved
to recommend that worksheet be signed and returned to WEPCO to
relocate per attached sketch and that the cost of this project
determined by the Public Works Department. Seconded by Ald.
Sanders, motion carried.

The Committee deferred action on correspondence received from
Mrs. Jackie Schweitzer, S110 W14230 Union Church Drive, advising
of a potential parking hazard, in order for the Chairman to
review the area.
• Chairman Taube requests that Director and Land Use Administrator
G. P. Lee update the Committee on status on condemnations at
their May meeting.
