MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 5, 1988
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Acting Chairman
Patterson. Also present were Committee Member Sanders, Police
Chief Johnson, Ald. Hilt, Building Inspector Lee and those per
the attached list. Chairman Taube was absent.
The Committee reviewed request for a stop sign on the southwest
corner of Lake Street at the intersection of Lake Street and
Wildwood Drive. Mrs. Cindy Buske appeared before the Committee
to voice concern with amount of young children in the area and
the fast traffic. Chief Johnson will monitor this intersection
for the next couple of weeks and report back to the Committee.
The Committee discussed duplicate street names with Police Chief
Johnson. Ald. Patterson moved that the Public Works Department
research the feasibility of connecting Lake Drive (between Center
Drive & Park Drive) and, if possible, refer to the Finance
Committee to proceed in acquiring said piece of land. Seconded
by Ald. Sanders, motion carried. Ald. Patterson moved that the
Lake Drive that connects to Schubring Drive be renamed Schubring
Drive, and that Schubring Drive from Pleasant View Drive to the
• cul de sac be renamed Schubring Court. Seconded by Ald. Sanders,
motion carried. It was determined that no change would be made
to the two streets that are named Pearl Drive because of the
distance between the two streets, and no change would be made to
the two Woodland Places because of the fact that the addresses
are not similar.
Further discussion was held on Resolution #87-88 in regard to no
overnight parking of trucks on Hwy. 24 in the Tess Corners
area. Ald. Patterson moved to recommend amending Resolution #87-
88 to delete reference to overnight and insert "between 6:00 P.M.
and 6:00 A.M.". Seconded by Ald. Sanders, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed update on condemnations:
W126 S9485 North Cape Road - Mr. Ken Brown is in the process of
having his property reappraised and if it is satisfactory, will
proceed to secure a loan for his new home within two weeks.
Committee deferred action until June meeting.
S83 W15249 Mystic Drive - Dwelling is to be razed by May 30,
1988.
S79 W16197 Bay Lane Place - Property owner has been given a list
of non -comp iance items 21 items) to avoid condemnation.
• S83 W15349 Mystic Drive It was noted that this structure has not
Fen completely razed. Building Inspector Lee will follow-up
with owner of property.
