PSM19880204• PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 4, 1988 The meeting was called to order at 7:20 P.M. by Chairman Taube. Also present were Committee Member Sanders, Ald. Hilt, Building Inspector Lee, Police Chief Johnson and those per the attached list. Committee Member Patterson was absent. The Committee discussed traffic problem on Muskego Drive & Hiawatha Drive with Ald. Hilt to try to determine a means of slowing traffic on curve of road. The Committee recommended that the Public Works Committee look into some sort of barricade for this curve for traffic going south into the curve to Lannon Drive from Muskego Drive. Apparently traffic signs have not been able to solve the problem. Building Inspector Lee reported on the status of the following condemnations: W186 S7645 Lincoln Drive - All work has been completed except for part of front eaves which will be completed shortly. W126 S9485 North Cape Road - Condition of house was discussed. • Bringing house to standards would exceed 50% of the evaluation of the house. Chairman Taube recommended that homeowner check into cost of bringing house up to code. Building Inspector Lee will check with City Attorney to determine if legally this may be done since condemnation orders have been initiated. The owners have been asked to look into other ways of erecting a home on the property and report back to the Safety Committee. W172 S7505 Lannon Drive (Caradaro Club) - No action has been taken to raze garage by present owners. Chairman Taube moved to proceed with condemnation orders. Seconded by Ald. Sanders, motion carried. S79 W16197 Bay Lane Place - House is in process of sale and will have to be brought up to standards by new owner before occupancy is permittd.
