is MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 1, 1987
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman Taube.
Also present were Committee Member Sanders, Building Inspector
Lee, and those per the attached list. Ald. Patterson arrived at
7:06 P.M.
Building Inspector Lee reviewed the Soil Erosion Ordinance and
present forms that are used by his office and given to Developers
and Builders. He showed photographs that he has taken which give
evidence of severe erosion from storm water in the ditches of the
Industrial Park which have never been corrected by the
Contractors, as far as seeding. Ald. Taube moved that a stop
work order be issued by the Building Inspector to Payne & Dolan
until they have complied with the Soil Erosion Ordinance and that
a stop work order also be issued to Developer in Lake Brittany
Addn. #1 until they have complied with the Soil Erosion
Ordinance. In both cases contractors should be made aware that a
citation will be issued if stop work orders are ignored.
Seconded by Ald. Patterson, motion carried.
A discussion was held on citation to be issued to United Sewer &
• Water, contractors for MW-3-87 water project on Janesville
Road. Ald. Taube moved to direct the City Attorney to issue a
• citation incorporating a daily fine until such time as they have
complied with the Soil Erosion Ordinance. Seconded by Ald.
Patterson, motion carried.
Ald. Patterson moved to direct the City Attorney to incorporate a
section in the Subdividers Agreement which will make all
contractors aware of the Soil Erosion Ordinance prior to the
start of construction.
Ald. Taube moved to direct the Building Inspector to send a
letter to the Schwabenlender property on Martin Drive, which was
part of the Oakhill Estates Sewer Project, advising them that the
fill that was put on their property by the contractor should be
graded and seeded to prevent erosion. A letter to the same
effect is to be sent to Mr. Ed Bauer on Hillendale Drive, to
advise him to grade and seed the fill that has been placed on his
property over the past two years. St. Pauls Ev. Lutheran Church
in Tess Corners should also be sent a letter directing them to
grade and seed a large pile of ground on their property.
Representatives of the Little Muskego Lake Association appeared
before the Committee and submitted pictures verifying that soil
erosion residue is washing across Janesville Road from the Pick &
• Save Construction site. Building Inspector Lee will follow up at
the construction site.

The Committee reviewed the following condemnations with Building
Inspector Lee:
Mystic Drive - S83 W15249 Mystic Drive - Building
s oi a razed by the end of November according to
the property owner's attorney.
Lincoln Drive - W186 57645 Lincoln Drive - Ald. Taube
moved that owner be required to provide a $3,000 bond
since he has not provided the Building Inspection Dept.
with a progress report in regards to the upgrading of
his building. Owner will be notified, in writing, of
this action by the Building Inspector. If this bond
is not issued within two weeks, condemnation orders will
be issued.
Prie ell Driv�e - S16 W13971 Priegel Drive - House was
Purnell down Last week.
Building Inspector Lee also reported that several garages are in
the process of being razed due to condemnation orders.
Ald. Sanders advised the Committee that he has received a
complaint from a citizen in regard to cars speeding on Lentini
Drive.
Ald. Taube questioned Building Inspector Lee if there are any
plans to extend Lannon Drive to Calhoun Road in the future.
Building Inspector Lee will research and report back to the
Committee.
The meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
