PSM19870507• PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 71 1987
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Taube.
Also present was Committee Member Sanders. Ald. Patterson was
absent.
The Committee reviewed request for "No Parking" sign to be
installed on Berger Lane. The reason for request is that a
resident is unable to safely back out of his driveway due to
narrowness of Berger Lane. Ald. Taube moved to recommend
approval of a "No Parking" sign to be located on the east side of
Berger lane in front of the property addressed W128 S6390 Berger
Lane. Seconded by Ald. Sanders, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed request for "Caution - Children " sign on
Crowbar & Field Drive. It was determined that requested location
is closer to Crowbar & Valley Drive, on Crowbar, on top of
hill. The Committee recommended that Supt. Bertram determine
exact location of caution sign and our legal right to install a
sign on the Vernon side of the road and report back to the June
Safety meeting.
• A complaint has been received about the speed and volume of
traffic on Lions Park Drive during peak commuting times. The
Committee believes this problem will only get worse when proposed
development is completed. The following items were discussed:
a. Left & right turn only - sign coming out of
proposed apartment complex.
b. One-way road going south only - between Racine
& Janesville
c. No right turn sign at Nursing Home corner
during morning hours of 6:00 A.M. to 8:00 A.M.
d. No left turn for traffic heading south on Racine
Avenue from 3:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
e. Any combination of above.
These items will be discussed at the June meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
tAld. Harold L. Sanders
