PSM19870401PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 1, 1987
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman Taube.
Also present were Committee Members Sanders and Penovich, Chief
Johnson, Building Inspector G. P. Lee, Cathy Aron, Frank Narlock
and Representative David Lepak.
The Committee reviewed the status of Bayside Tavern. Building
Inspector Lee advised the Committee of communication sent to Mr.
John Budish indicating that if Mr. Budish would replace the roof
over the kitchen area and south one half of the main structure by
July 1, 1987, with the remaining north side to be done as needed
in four or five years, this would satisfy the compliance with
those items as noted on Notice of Noncompliance dated January 2,
1987.
Cathy Aron appeared before the Committee to discuss a safety
problem due to fisherman parking on Highway 36, at the canal
between Big Muskego Lake and Wind Lake, and debris left by
fisherman. Chief Johnson agreed that the problem exists;
however, mainly in the Spring of the year. Cathy Aron stated
that a group of residents are monitoring the area and are working
on a traffic count for the entire Summer. County Supervisor
Narlock will check into the problem of debris and attempt to have
the County provide trash containers. It was determined that the
parking problem cannot be resolved easily, options being to limit
parking on the road or requesting the State of Wisconsin
Department of Transporation or the Department of Natural
Resources to provide a parking area. Representative Lepak stated
that the Department of Transportation may have available funds,
but doubted that any existed in the Department of Natural
Resources. Cathy Aron will contact the Department of
Transportation to check on available funds.
Building Inspector reported on the status of the following
condemnations:
North Cape Road - Upgrading of building has not been done
except to -install siding on three sides of home. Building
Inspection Department will issue a 30 day notice in which to
vacate and raze building. If this has not been accomplished in
that time frame, condemnation orders will be issued.
Priegel Drive - Condemnation orders have been issued. The
building s to gazed by May 1, 1987.
Lincoln Drive - No response from owner has been received by
Building Inspection Department. Ald. Penovich moved to proceed with

The meeting adjourned at 8:10 P.M.
