PSM19850207. PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 7, 1985
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Nilsson at 7:00 P.M.
Also present was Committee Member Hilt and Lt. John Johnson.
Ald. Dumke was absent.
The Committee discussed flashing lights on Muskego Drive. The
Committee reviewed the Public Works Minutes of January 17, 1985
and requested the Public Works Department to install a rumble
strip in lieu of flashing lights.
The Committee discussed the utility pole on Westwood Drive and
St. Leonard Drive. The Committee reviewed the Public Works
Minutes of January 17, 1985 and agreed that the light should
remain in its present location.
The Committee discussed Disabled Parking in Parkland Mall. Lt.
Johnson reported that the Manager of Parkland Mall is in the
process of purchasing signs to designate disabled parking areas
in the Mall.
The Committee discussed speed limit on Racine Avenue from STH 24
to Henneberry Drive. Ald. Hilt moved to notify the Waukesha
County Highway Department of the City of Muskego's request to
extend present 40 MPH limit on Highway Y from STH 24 to
Henneberry Drive. Seconded by Ald. Nilsson, motion carried.
The Committee discussed use of motorized vehicles on lakes in
Muskego. The Police Department reported they are working on a
plan to alleviate the problem.
The meeting adjourned at 7:30 P.M.
