PSM19841004• PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE — CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 4, 1984 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Nilsson at 7:00 P.M. Also present were Committee Member Hilt, Police Chief Scholz, Ald. DeAngelis and those per the attached list. The Committee discussed the traffic problems on Muskego Drive. Mr. Jerry Konkel appeared before the Committee stating that he has a retarded child who boards the school bus on Muskego Drive and because it is on a curve, the bus is not visible to on —coming cars. Mrs. Gloria Drenzek appeared before the Committee stating she has a continuing problem of cars running onto her yard and causing damage; she is located on the corner of Muskego Drive and Hiawatha Drive. The Committee requested that Superintendent Bertram obtain cost estimates on putting guardrails on the corner of Muskego Drive and Hiawatha Drive on the Drenzek property at S78 W17635 Muskego Drive and report to Safety Committee. The Committee discussed the "No Parking" request on Cornell Circle. Chief Scholz reported on a recent study of this request.. The Committee recommended that "No Parking" signs be installed on the south side of Cornell Circle for the first three houses west of Durham Drive. The north side of Cornell Circle is • already posted. The Committee discussed the request for installation of sidewalks on one side of Durham Drive. Superintendent Bertram reported that a study done on this project resulted in an estimated cost of $140,000. The Committee decided to table this request because of the high cost.
