PSM198404090 PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 9, 1984
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman
Colburn. Also present were Committee Members Gaetzke and
Tomczyk, Chief Scholz, Lt. Johnson, Vi Joy, Ald. Nilsson and
Fran Oelke.
The Committee reviewed the HAWS Agreement for 1984. Ald.
Gaetzke moved to recommend renewal. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk,
motion carried.
The Committee discussed the Parkland Mall Theater Policy.
Chairman Colburn asked Lt. Johnson what policy the City and/or
Police Department had. Lt. Johnson stated there is no distinct
policy, except juvenille laws. Ald. Gaetzke felt a policy was
not needed. He felt the Mall should not be a babysitting
organization, but that the Police should use discretion.
Chairman Colburn stated that the Mall will be or already has
hired security help and this should solve any future problems.
Since no one appeared regarding activities on Little Muskego
Lake, the Committee took no action. Lt. Johnson noted that the
• Police Department has increased the budget to increase the
patrol by 40 more hours.
Ald. Gaetzke moved to adjourn at 7:15 P.M. Seconded by Ald.
Tomczyk, motion carried.
Respectfully submitted,
Ald. Ralph Tomczyk
Secy.
