PSM198404090 PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 9, 1984 The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman Colburn. Also present were Committee Members Gaetzke and Tomczyk, Chief Scholz, Lt. Johnson, Vi Joy, Ald. Nilsson and Fran Oelke. The Committee reviewed the HAWS Agreement for 1984. Ald. Gaetzke moved to recommend renewal. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried. The Committee discussed the Parkland Mall Theater Policy. Chairman Colburn asked Lt. Johnson what policy the City and/or Police Department had. Lt. Johnson stated there is no distinct policy, except juvenille laws. Ald. Gaetzke felt a policy was not needed. He felt the Mall should not be a babysitting organization, but that the Police should use discretion. Chairman Colburn stated that the Mall will be or already has hired security help and this should solve any future problems. Since no one appeared regarding activities on Little Muskego Lake, the Committee took no action. Lt. Johnson noted that the • Police Department has increased the budget to increase the patrol by 40 more hours. Ald. Gaetzke moved to adjourn at 7:15 P.M. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried.
