PSM19831201PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD DECEMBER 1, 1983
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Colburn at 7:00
P.M.. Also present were Committee Members Gaetzke and Tomczyk,
Sgt. Meeks was also present.
Chairman Colburn discussed with the Committee all that had
transpired with the traffic lights at intersection of STH 24 and
Lannon Drive. He informed the Committee the state had taken
another study with the same results as in the past. The traffic
numbers meet the state requirements as a total, but right turn
traffic cannot be counted, therefore the city cannot have the
traffic signals.
The Committee discussed flashing or warning lights at STH 24 and
Tess Corners Drive to warn traffic of a fire station entrance.
The state study claimed the STH 24 and Tess Corners Drive did not
warrant traffic signals so possibly warning lights may be
obtained.
• The Committee discussed No Parking on Gaulke Drive and deferred
any action until the next meeting.
The Committee reviewed the Rescue Service Contract for 1984 but
deferred any action due to no representative from the fire
department being present at the meeting.
Reviewing Fire Protection Contracts with Tess Corners Volunteer
Fire Department and Muskego Fire Company was deferred due to no
representative from fire departments were present.
The Committee reviewed minutes of the previous meeting.
Correspondence received was reviewed by the Committee and placed
on file.
Ald. Gaetzke moved to adjourn at 7:45 P.M. Seconded by Ald.
Tomczyk, motion carried.
Respectfully submitted,
Ralph Tomczyk
Secretary
