. MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 11, 1983
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman Colburn.
Also present were Committee Members Gaetzke and DeAngelis,
Aid. Tomczyk, Chief Scholz, Lt. Johnson and Aid. Penovich.
The Committee deferred discussion regarding traffic lights on
Tess Corners and Hwy. 24.
The Committee discussed the traffic problem on Center Drive. No
action was taken.
The Committee discussed "no" parking on road - Racine Avenue near
the high school. No action was taken.
The Committee discussed the dangerous curve on Muskego Drive,
and directed Supt. Bertram to post a "Danger" sign at the curve.
The Committee discussed the request of the Fountainwood Pool
Assn. for additional police protection. The Committee will inform
the association that the Police will continue to patrol as often
as possible.
The Committee discussed the procedure to be followed when a
possible rabid animal has bitten someone, and referred same to
• the Rules, Laws and Ordinance Committee for review.
The Committee reviewed the three applications received in response
to the ad for an Animal Pick-up Service. The Committee did not
feel the candidates were qualified, and felt that possibly other
alternatives could be found. Aid. Colburn will discuss the matter
with Supt. Bertram.
The Committee discussed the Neighborhood Watch Program. Aid.
Penovich advised he had contacted the surrounding communities
as to what they were doing. Lt. Johnson stated that the Police
Department had discussed such organizations and might budget
next year to start such a program as "Project Eye Opener".
Correspondence received was reviewed by the Committee.
Aid. Tomczyk moved to adjourn at 7:58 P.M. Seconded by Aid.
Gaetzke, motion carried.
