PSM19830505• PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 5, 1983 The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman Colburn. Also present were Committee Members Gaetzke and Tomczyk, and those persons per the attached list Ald. Nilsson reported to the committee regarding the State fingerprinting cards purchased by the Muskego Police Department. Ald Nilsson will coordinate with the M.P.D. and recommended volunteers such as Park and Rec, Lions Club and citizens, assist in the fingerprinting of children at their parent's request. Discussion regarding the city's request for traffic control lights at the intersection of S.T.H. 24 and Lannon Drive was deferred until the next meeting. The committee discussed the applications for the position of Dog Warden. Also discussed was the suggestion of Mr. Lee Shane that a snare noose, tranquilizer gun, protective sleeve, carrying cage and holding cage be available for the Dog Warden. The method of payment will be discussed at a later date The committee noted that Mr Shane has a kennel licensed for 20 dogs Mr. Shane advised that he would be available 24 hours a day. • The committee recommended to the Common Council to hire Mr. Lee Shane as Dog Warden at the current rate, with further discussion regarding alternate methods of payment. Discussion regarding the HAWS contract was deferred until the next meeting. The committee reviewed correspondence from Continental Data Qof 4-20-83 The committee reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7 30 P.M.
