MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 13, 1980
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M, by Chairman Knudsen,
Also present were Committee Members Steinberg and Van Lanen, Police
Chief Scholz, Mr. and Mrs Rocke, Mr. Fischer, Mrs, Van Lanen and
Sun Reporter Vi Joy.
The minutes of 9/18/80 were reviewed and placed on file.
Discussion was held regarding the S.T.H. 24 and Lannon Drive
Traffic Study Report by the Police Department and the State Dept. of
Transportation Survey. The traffic survey was referred to the
Public Works Committee to check the feasibility of the recommendations
made by the State Dept. of Transportation.
Ald. Van Lanen brought to the attention of the committee the need
for crosswalks on Highway 24 near Lannon Dr,; a request received by
constitutents.
Participants deliberated on the safety situation at the intersection
of Center Dr. and S.T,H. 24 (ingress and egress from the Muskego Beer
•and Liquor),
Mr. Rocke requested an explanation from the Building Inspection
Department as to what constitutes a standard commercial driveway.
Ald. Van Lanen moved to defer action on this problem until the next
meeting at which Mr Bertram and Mr Lee will be asked to be present.
Seconded by Ald. Steinberg. Motion carried.
Ald Van Lanen will notify Mr. and Mrs, Rocke and neighbors of the
up -coming meeting regarding this subject.
A letter about a cat concern relating to the section of the municipal
code regarding animals at large was read by the 4th district alderman.
A press release will be made by the police department regarding animals
at large.
The question arose as to the purchase of a large trap which is
presently needed by Muskego citizens
Ald. Knudsen moved to have Chief Scholz and Mrs, Feldman at the next
meeting to discuss procedures of contacting her
Correspondence from building inspector, Tess Corners Rescue Reports
and the monthly analysis report from the police department were all
• read and placed on file,
Ald. Steinberg moved to adjourn at 8:20 P.M. Seconded by Ald Van
Lanen. Motion carried.
