PSM19800213i 46 PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 13, 1980 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tomczyk at 7t15 P.M. Also present were Committee Members Weed and Pietruszynski and Mayor Gottfried. Mrs. Pat Feldmann appeared at the meeting to discuss with the committee the possibility of some reimbursement for animals which she picks up and transports to HAWS. Ald. Weed moved to recommend to the Finance Committee that they consider some additional re- muneration for Mrs. Feldmann. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. The committee reviewed a communication from Senator Adelman regarding the city's request for traffic lights at the corners of Lannon Drive and-S.T.H. 24. The Department of Transportation had conducted a traffic count on February 9th. Ald. Weed indicated that they had been advised the request for traffic lights has been placed in the top ten of those needed in the area. However, whether or not money would be available is questionable. The committee suggested that Representative Rutkowski be advised of the efforts of Senator Adelman in this matter. • The committee reviewed and placed on file the monthly analysis received from the Muskego Police Department. Same placed on file. In regard to Ald. Van Lanen's request for a street light at the corner of St. Leonard's Drive and Westwood Drive, Ald. Tomczyk moved to deny the request because it is contrary to present city policy. Seconded by Ald. Weed. Motion carried. Mayor Gottfried was directed to contact Mr. and Mrs. Beitzel regarding the matter. Correspondence from Building Inspector Lee's office was received and placed on file. Reports of Tess Corners Fire Department rescue service for the period 12/1/79 to 1/31/80 were received and placed on file. The committee discussed the need for a form which Mrs. Feldman could submit to the committee regarding her activities. Mayor Gottfried indicated he would develop such a report form. Ald.
