• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 18, 1976
The meeting was called to order by 7:15 P.M. by Chairman Schaumberg.
Also present were Aldermen Colburn and Wallner and Mayor Gottfried.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file.
Old. Foldy requested consideration for a "stop" sign for the southwest
corner of MacLen Dr. and Bristlecone Lane. The request was referred to
the Police Department for study and recommendation.
The Humane Officer's report for the month of February, 1976, was received
and placed on file.
The reports of the Tess Corners Rescue Squad for the month of February,
1976, were received and placed on file.
The Tess Corners Fire Department reports for January and February, 1976,
were received and placed on file.
Correspondence from the Building Inspection Department was reviewed and
40 placed on file.
A discussion was held relative to the need of the Building Inspector to
carry identification. Ald. Colburn moved to -direct the Building Inspector
and his deputies to contact the Police Department for ID cards. Seconded
by Ald. Wallner, motion carried.
The February report of the Police Department was received and placed on
file. -
The need for adequate insurance coverage for the city's water patrolmen
was discussed. Mayor Gottfried was directed to contact the city's
insurance carrier for advice on the kinds of insurance needed and the
estimated costs.
The proposal to place buoys around Little Muskego Lake as suggested by the
Advisory Committee of the Little Muskego Lake Protection and Rehabilitation
District was discussed by the committee. The matter was tabled, however,
Police Chief Kraus was advised that more enforcement of existing laws was
desired.
Applications for appointments for emergency policemen which had been
recommended by Chief Kraus were reviewed by the committee. Ald. Colburn
*asto recommend that the Mayor appoint Edward Barry and Donald Belint
as emergency police officers, Seconded by Ald. Wallner, motion carried.
Ald. Wallner moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Colburn, motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 7:55 P.M.
