Scholz, Mr. Matt Radish, Mrs. Do,c-ay Van Lanen, Mrs. Gerri Nelson, Mrs. Ginny Reidy and Mr. and Mrs. Whitehouse. Mrs. Van Lanen and Mrs. Nelson appe�.cred before the committee to further discuss their proposal for a volunteer humane officer for the City of Muskego and further use of the Waukesha Humane Animal Welfare Society (H.A.W.S.) Mr. Whitehouse discussed the procedures he is presently using in his position of Humane Officer for the city. The aldermen not on the committee were brought up to date on what has been discussed in previous meetings. The committee went through, point by point, the volunteer proposal (see attached) Questions arose concerning the possibility of having the volunteer services of a veterinarian going to Mr. Whitehouse's shelter to give •necessary shots or giving injections for the purpose of destruction. The committee will look into the possibility of this. The possibility of more publicity for the Muskego Humane Officer to be published by local newspapers for the many new people who have recently moved into the city. Ald. Colburn suggested a brochure explaining the job of the Humane Officer to be given to the Welcome Wagon. Concerning unlicensed stray dogs, the committee will discuss in the future the possibility of making it mandatory for the owner of an unlicensed stray dog to get a license. Ald.
