• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 20, 1975.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Schaumberg at 7:30 P.M. Also
present were Aldermen Wallner, Colburn and Foldy and Mayor Gottfried.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file.
The committee acknowledged receipt of a claim against the city in the
amount of $15,000.00 from Mr. Kenneth Pietruszynski, Skylark Lane.
The committee is awaiting a reply from the Police Department regarding
its recommendation of establishing "No Parking" zones in the vicinity of
Wentland and Hillendale Drives.
Correspondence was received from the Building Inspection Office regarding
violations of the city's Building Codes, same placed on file.
The committee discussed the possibility of enacting a "No Smoking" Ordinance
for public buildings such as theaters, etc. The committee referred the
suggestion to the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee.
The committee reviewed 31 reports of the Humane Officer and placed same
on file.
Communication was received from Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sablich commending the
Muskego Police Department, and particularly, Officer Wolfgram, for their
diligence in investigating a burglary that occurred in their home over
the Labor Day weekend. The letter indicated that most everything was
recovered and they appreciated the time and effort spent on the case.
The committee discussed with Lt. Scholz the specifications for bidding
for five new squad cars to be delivered in 1976. The problems incurred
in past years with specifications were reviewed once again. Lt. Scholz
advised the committee that now five automobile manufacturers are able
to provide police vehicles to municipalities. It was the decision of the
committee that to avoid past problems bids would only be accepted on
police vehicles. Ald. Wallner moved to recommend to the Common Council
that the Police Department be authorized to advertise for bids for five
new squad cars with police vehicle specifications. Seconded by Ald.
Schaumberg, motion carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Colburn, motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
