PSM19750605PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO • MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 5, 1975 " • The meeting was called to order by Chairman Schaumberg at 7:10 P.M. Also present were Aldermen Colburn and Wallner, Mayor Gottfried, Chief Kraus and Ald. Knudsen. The committee reviewed the Police Department report for the month of May and placed same on file. The minutes of the previous meeting were received and placed on file. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Masterson were present at the meeting to discuss the operation of paddle boats on Little Muskego Lake. Mr. Masterson stated that he will post a sign requesting that operators of paddle boats stay within 300 feet of shore for their own safety. Chief Kraus will also direct the water patrol to watch for boating violations and to take proper action. The committee received and reviewed the proposed public parking lot change in the City of New Berlin and placed same on file. • Ald. Ford will be requested to report pn his findings regarding the parking at the end of Garnet Drive in order that the committee can take action. The committee is recommending to Public Works that a "Dead End" sign be placed at the end of Longfellow Lane at its intersection with Saroyan. The committee discussed the no parking on Kingston and Lincoln Dr. Chief Kraus will investigate. Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend that all "No Parking" signs on College Avenue between Racine Ave. and Lentini Drive be removed. Seconded by Ald. Colburn, motion carried. Mr. Louis Ludwig appeared at the meeting to request that consideration be given to the widening of Muskego Dam Road. He reported several accidents of near accidents because of the lack of adequate shoulders. Chief Kraus will submit an accident report on the matter. Ald. Colburn moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald.
