PSM19750224u PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO • MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 24, 1975. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ford at 8:22 P.M. Also present were Aldermen Knudsen, Wallner and Colburn and Mayor Gottfried. The committee reviewed the minutes of 2/3/75 and placed same on file. Ald. Ford moved to recommend that the building committee for the new police department building include one member of the Public Safety Committee. Seconded by Ald. Knudsen, motion carried. Ald. Colburn to contact Richard Steingraeber, College Avenue and Fred Graves, Hillendale Drive regarding their problem of hunting taking place on their property. Supt. of Public Works Bertram will repaint crosswalks on all city streets as soon as weather permits. Supt. Bertram to have sight obstruction removed at the intersection of Hardtke Drive and Muskego Drive. Mr. Ed Turzinski, Silver Drive has requested that the name of Onyx Drive be changed to Silver Drive. The matter was deferred until Ald. Ford can talk to people living on Onyx Drive. Ald. Ford moved to recommend Council approval of a resolution authorizing the installation of a street light at the intersection of Hale Park Drive and Tess Corners Drive. Seconded by Ald. Knudsen, motion carried. Ald. Knudsen moved to recommend to the Council adoption of a resolution to amend Resolution #213-74 which would change the name of Hi-Y Drive to Williams Drive west of Racine Avenue to its intersection with a private road which presently serves the former nike site. Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried. The committee reviewed Tess Corners Fire Dept. reports from 12/26/74 to 2/10/75, same placed on file. The committee reviewed Tess Corners Rescue reports from 1/20/75 to 2/9/75, same placed on file. The committee reviewed Humane Officer's Report from 1/4/75 to 1/31/75, same placed on file. The committee will soon discuss boating regulations on city lakes. Ald. Knudsen moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Wallner, motion carried. • The meeting adjourned at 9:50 P.M.
