MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON JUNE 24, 1974
The meeting was called. to order at 8:15 P.M. -_Present were Aldermen
Knudsen and Wallner-and Police -Chief Kraus.
The committee reviewed a complaint from Mrs. Clyde Heckert, Tower
Drive, regarding baseballs hit into her yard from Horn Field. Aid.
Knudsen moved that the complaint be referred to the Park and Recreation
Board. Seconded by Aid. Wallner, motion carried.
Mrs. R. Hackbarth and Mrs. Ahles, Catalina Dr., Belmont Greens Subdivision,
appeared in behalf of citizens in the vicinity of Catalina and Brentwood
Drives to request "stop" signs. Aid. Knudsen moved to have the Police
Department conduct a study of this intersection and report back to the
Public Safety Committee. Seconded.by Aid. Wallner, motion carried.
Aid. Wallner moved to recommend to the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee
that "stop" signs be installed at Fennimore La and.Saroyan Rd. to
control Fennimore Dr. traffic. Seconded -by Aid. Knudsen, motion carried.
Aid. Wallner moved. to recommend to Common Council that Bedford. Dr.
be re -named Bristlecone Lane. Seconded. by Aid. Knudsen, motion carried.
Also, that the Mayor be directed to notify citizens living on Bedford
Dr. and a copy of letter be sent to the President of NEMCA, Roger Level,
P 0 Box #154, Muskego, Wis.
Aid. Foldy requested a survey of Bristlecone and.Camilla and. Bristlecone
and. Fennimore and the extension of Fleetwood and the junction of Bedford
Dr. with Bristlecone La.Ald.Wall moved to have Police Department conduct
such survey, seconded.by Aid. Knudsen, motion carried.
Committee to view East Shore Dr. as it was reported by Aid. Wallner
that this street is a sub -standard road.
Aid. Foldy also appeared before the committee to report that his con-
stituents have requested the city send out a newsletter advising
parents regarding the safety hazards of young children playing in
streets. In the interim Chief Kraus was directed to get out a news
release to the local papers.
The meeting adjourned at 9:20 P.M.
