PSM19740314PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO • MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 14, 1974 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Foldy at 7:15 P.M. Also present were Aldermen Czarnecki, Wallner and Knudsen, Mayor Gottfried and Frank DeAngelis. The committee received a survey of the Drive from the Police Department. The committee is requesting that Mayor Gottfried contact the Town of Vernon and Village of Big Bend officials exploring the possibility of obtaining a joint grant with the City of Muskego from the Wisconsin Council of Criminal Justice to hire a consulting firm to study the feasibility of consolidating the police services of the three gover- mental units. Thirty (30) Humane Office Reports from 2/4/74 through 2/20/74 were • reviewed and placed on file. The committee is recommending Council approval of a resolution regarding the repairs of Linnie Lac Dam and that same be distributed to Linnie Lac Homeowners Association, City of New Berlin and the DNR. The committee feels that with forthcoming spring thaws immediate action is required to prevent bursting of dam and subsequent danger to life and property in the City of Muskego. The Public Works Committee to review "No Parking" signs on S.T.H. 24 and Tess Corners Drive. • Ald. Czarnecki moved to recommend Lowell Morin as Emergency Police Officer. Seconded by Ald. Foldy. Motion carried with Ald. Wallner voting "no". The Committee deferred action for two weeks on the application of Kathleen Masch as an Emergency Police Officer. Ald.
