MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 4, 1974
• The meeting was called to order at 7:10 P.M. Present were Aldermen
Czarnecki and Wallner, Mayor Gottfried, Police Chief Kraus and Mr.
Alan H. Sabatino.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file.
• Ald. Wallner moved to recommend to Finance Committee the need for
a calculator by the Police Department. Seconded by Ald. Czarnecki,
motion carried.
Two applications to service as emergency police officers were received.
They are Kathleen Masch and Lowell Morin. The matter was deferred to
the next meeting.
Ald. Czarnecki moved to recommend to the Common Council that the Mayor
contact the Chaiiman of the Town of Vernon and the Village President
of Big Bend in order to explore the possibility of seeking a joint
grant with the City of Muskego from the Wisconsin Council on Criminal
Justice to hire a consulting firm to study the feasibility of consoli-
dating the police services of the three governmental units. Seconded
by Ald. Wallner, motion carried.
The committee is recommending to the Finance Committee the expenditure
• of $200.00 for the Waukesha County Chief's Association hosting the State
Police Chief's Convention. Monies to come from Acct. #520.016.
With reference to the minutes of November 29, 1973, the committee would
like to remind the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee of the matter of
a proposed amendment to the ordinance regulating animals which would
impose a $20.00 fee for animals kept in quarantine.
Mr. Alan H. Sabatino appeared at the meeting regarding stop signs on
Gold Drive. Chief Kraus to review and report back to the committee at
the next meeting.
The Tess Corners Fire Dept. Reports were reviewed. Fifteen fire runs
were reported from 11/14/73 thru 2/6/74. Same placed on file.
The committee reviewed Rescue Reports from 1/5/74 to 2/15/74 and twenty
nine (29) reports were approved for payment.
Ald. Czarnecki moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Wallner. Motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
