PSM19740117• PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 17, 1974 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Foldy at 7: 45 P.M. Also present were Aldermen Waiiner, Czarnecki and Knudsen, Police Chief Kraus and Mayor Gottfried. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the change in rank structure for the Police Department. Ald. Wallner moved to recommend to the Council the following rank structure for the Police Department: 1 Chief 2 Lieutenants 3 Sergeants • Police Officer - Grade I ) Of which there will be Police Officer Grade II ) a total of 12 Police Officer - Grade III ) 4 Dispatcher Clerks I Staff Secretary and that the Chief be authorized to fill the vacant positions of one (1) Sergeant and two (2) Police Officers. Seconded by Ald. Czarnecki, motion carried. The committee agreed that Chief Kraus should present his request for another officer on or about July 1, 1974, in order that the position could be filled as of September 1, 1974, if approved by the Council.
