MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 26, 1973
•The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman Foldy. Also
present were Aldermen Czarnecki, Wallner, Knudsen and Chief Kraus, Mr.
Swen Peterson, Safety Representative of Safeway Transport Co. and Mrs.
Margo Wilson, Hillendale Heights.
Aid. Wallner moved to recommend to Police Chief Kraus to investigate
the necessary signs and marking in question of a 3-car accident located
at Woods Road at Muskego High School. Seconded by Aid. Czarnecki.
Motion carried.
Mrs. Margo Wilson appeared at the meeting to report on hunting conditions
and discharge of firearms in the Hillendale Heights area. Aid. Wallner
moved to refer the matter to the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee and
that Sec. 9.01 of the Municipal Code (Re: Discharge of Firearms) be re-
viewed by that committee. Seconded by Aid. Czarnecki. Motion carried.
Thirty three (33) Rescue Reports were received for the period from
6/16/73 to 7/15/73. Thirty three (33) were recommended for payment and
billing and three (3) for payment only.
The Tess Corners Fire Dept. Report was reviewed. Fourteen (14) fire runs
were reported from 3/31/73 to 7/l/73.
• The Police Dept. for the month of June was reviewed and placed on file.
Aid. Wallner moved that it is the committee's recommendation that Lt.
Richard Scholz be granted a leave of absence with pay in order that he
may attend the FBI Academy from 9/17/73 to 12/7/73 at a cost of $275.00
plus his wages. Seconded by Aid. Czarnecki. Motion carried.
Aid. Knudsen reported that vehicles and motorcycles are creating a public
nuisance in the vicinity of Tans Drive and Racine Avenue. Chief Kraus
will have the area surveyed and report back to the committee.
Aid. Knudsen requested that there be a street light installed at the
east end of Hillview Drive at the lake. The committee will view the
area.
The committee will request a map from the Park and Recreation Board which
would indicate the lake access lots and the size of each lot.
Aid. Wallner requested that a street light be installed on Racine Ave.
at the entrance to the No. 2 firehouse. The committee will view the
area.
• Aid. Wallner moved to adjourn, seconded by Aid. Czarnecki. Motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:35 P.M.
